What Does Negative HCG Report Indicate?
Question: I went in for an US due to abdomen pain. US showed a 4W gestational sac but when I went for a HCG test, it was negative. I went in exactly 3 weeks from the start of my LMP. I had my normal period the next week. Could I still be pregnant?

I had a positive urine test today but the HCG is still negative. Is this normail?

Positive urine test may be due to the presence of some interfering substances in urine similar to serum HCG being degraded and metabolized through the kidney.
I advice you to have a repeat test for Urinary HCG and Serum HCG through radioimmunoassay,which can give accurate results.
