Question: Dear Doctor, My wife is 8 months pregnant and she has puss cells in urine test. I have attached the report. Please advice

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The report is showing urine infection.
I will advise nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice a day for a week along with plenty of fluids.
Get a repeat urine culture after14 days.

Hi dear, urine infection should be treated timely in pregnancy otherwise it can lead to preterm labour.
Urine infection is common in pregnancy, can occur due to poor hygiene, drinking less water , using common toilets and sexual intercourse.
