What Does My Stress Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Jul 2015
Question: Hi. My stress test revealed that I have "a liquid hydrogenated blood spot" in my left main heart
artery. What does that mean? My doctor has me on zetia and recommends I continue with a low cholesterol
diet.

Brief Answer:
please provide exact detail of your test

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
I am Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
I have gone through your query.
First of all I need to know what kind of stress test was done in your case. Was it a nuclear or it was exercise treadmill test? Liquid hydrogenated blood spot is unusual term to describe blocks in artery, hence please give exact details of your test, preferably as an attachment.
You know fast food and trans fat are playing big role in causing heart disease and heart attacks in united states.
Liquid hydrogenated term goes with such fast food.so I presume that routine blocks which we interpret on stress test ,might have been interpreted as hydrogenated block! please furnish exact details so that i can guide you properly.
Zetia ,is Ezetimibe ,which is cholesterol lowering medicine and is usually not first line of treatment.First line medicine is statin group of medicines.so i need to know reports of lipid profile and medicines you received so far.
kindly provide detailed history along with reports
My best wishes

Yes, the test was a nuclear test with Lexiscan because I have balance
issues due to Multiple Sclerosis. Sorry the error was mine. The results are " liquid
oxygenated blood". I only agreed to Zetia because it works in the digestive tract
and not in the liver. I also take fish oil (700mg EPA and 500 DHA Omega-3 wild fish concentrate, 2 600 red yeast rice tablets with a meal and an 2 75mg gatlic tablets twice a day with a meal. My exercise plan includes low impact stretching, muscle toning with cardio movements to music twice a week. I walk 20 minutes
twice a day with my dog. My diet is more green vegetables, free range chicken and grilled salmon once a week. My dairy diet includes almond milk with oats and berries and sometimes high QUALITY OMEGA-3 organic egges twice a week.
No more wheat products or gluten! I like 5 oz glass of red wine with dinner.

Brief Answer:
I need exact report of nuclear stress test

Detailed Answer:
hello,
I have gone through your reply. I now understand that due to Multiple sclerosis ,you were subjected to lexiscan instead of regular treadmill test.
because you have not been advised further work up suggests either you have no or minimal blocks in coronary arteries.so no need to worry.I also agree that statins have effect on liver ,hence choosing ezetimibe over statin is appropriate. you may kindly upload exact report of nuclear test so that I can give you correct guidance regarding blocks in coronary artery.
your diet pattern is very much appropriate.
my best wishes.
Dr.Teli.

Your opinion was consistent with my local cardiologist. I have no
report to upload as the recommendations and results are in my doctor's
office. However, I would appreciate an explanation or descriptive statement
for this final question: What is liquid oxygenated blood?

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Can't correlate to your report

Detailed Answer:
hello, it is indeed difficult to opine in what context word liquid oxygenated blood was used in your case.As there is no such interpretation of stress test.
recently there has been research to develop oxygen in micro particulate matter which can be given intravenous in critical situation, this is called liquid oxygen.
but I don't find its relation in your case.
again looking at reports of stress I can suggest something.otherwise your cardiologist will be the best person to answer this question.
my best wishes
Dr.Teli,MD
