Brief Answer:
Appropriate medication

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The medicine that you take now is appropriate and based on standard recommendations only. For a new diabetic patient Glycomet GP1 is regularly prescribed. It has basically two types of anti diabetic drugs that help in controlling blood sugars. Other medicines that you take are for lower calcium levels (supracal), Methycobal (vit B12) and for anti gastritis (pantosec).

The joint pain in the shoulder could be because of poor control of glucose over these days. This is evident with uncontrolled blood sugar, high Hba1c test that you got done. Once the blood sugar is controlled, which needs at least a month of proper titration of dose and follow up with doctor, the pain around the shoulder joint can get better. Till then you should seek a physiotherapist advise for exercise.

Along with the anti diabetic medicine I strongly recommend life style modifications like regular exercise, walking for at least 1 hour a day, diet practice under the guidance of a dietitian.

Let me know if you have any other query else you may close the discussion.
