What Does My Biopsy Test Report Indicate?

Question: My mother in law Biopsy report says : Section show fibro collagenous cores of tissue with an infiltrating neoplasm composed of atypical cells with moderate degree of nuclear pleomorphism. Focal acinar pattern of arrangement seen. Normal appearing hepatocytes are seen in one of the crores.

what does it mean?

As per this report it appears to be malignant, ie, cancerous. Apart from this nothing else can be commented as you have furnished no other information.

Dear Dr

I have attached the blood test reports and MRI SCAN report.

The patient have the following symptoms

1. had jaundice, now she is almost cured

2. every night having heavy stomach pain also feeling heat on the stomach, after taking the pain killer, she is fine until next day night.

3. feeling tired.

4. Endorsescope done, all the result are normal.

5. Dr is saying unable to find the staring point of cancer.

6. She has removed the uterus 3 years back, any chance the cancer started from there?

Please advise doctor.

Need to look at uterus biopsy

Was the uterus biopsied? Then we need the report. If no cancer in that, then unlikely to be starting from there.

If no other source is found, we may have to treat it like unknown primary. Also immunohistochemistry tests can be done on current biopsy to give some idea.

Still, we may not find the primary and have to treat it anyway, with standard protocols for unknown primary.

I will find the uterus biopsy report.

My question is, even the uterus removed 3 years, any chance for the cancer cell move from there to liver, and detected only now?

Now only symptom is stomach pain in night, can you please explain, is this because of cancer cell in liver or any other reasons?

Yes uterus to liver spread after 3 years is possible

But I would keep that as a lower possibility.

This pain is most likely due to cancer cells in the liver.

Unfortunately this is incurable disease. But treatment based on unknown primary is often effective in temporarily slowing down the disease.
