Question: I have a mildly lobulated cervix..what does this mean
doctor
Answered by Dr. Jacqueline Brown (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
A lobular cervix is a normal finding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

"Lobular" simply refers to something with an irregular shape. Your cervix normally is round but different shapes can also occur, especially in some who have given birth because their cervix may have small tears that alter the shape. So a lobular cervix means essentially that your cervix has a n irregular appearance. It has no clinical significance, and is not at risk for cancer or other problems.

I hope this advice was reassuring and that I was able to adequately answer your question.

If I can assist you any further please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely, Dr. Brown

Answered by Dr. Jacqueline Brown (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
You need to query a different specialist

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

Regarding your kidney, hypodense areas just mean areas on the ultrasound that look less dense, or less opaque than the surrounding tissue.

What those areas could be is another matter... unfortunately I am not the correct type of doctor to give you the best information on the kidney.

I am an OBGYN and specialize in women's reproductive organs and treatment of their conditions. I recommend you submit a query to an internist or renal specialist.

Sorry I could not be more helpful with your query.

Best wishes, Dr. Brown
