What Does Body Temperature Of 95.4 Indicate?

Question: 6.5 yr old daughter had 101.1 fever. Gave her motrin and 6 hours later her temp is 95.4. Is this too low? She is acting completely normal.

Motrin or Ibuprofen is good antipyretic. It lowers the body temperature. In children it is associated with lot of sweating which could sometimes lead to fall in temperature below normal . Temperature of 95.4 °F is slightly lower than normal.
As otherwise the child is normal there is no cause for concern. I would suggest you to cover up the child appropriately. The temperature should be back to normal. Rest be assured there is no cause for concern.
