Brief Answer: Black indicate Air Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Black indicate air , white indicates the fluid like blood, water etc. Grey is due to the organs. Bones too appear white in a CT scan. Spots other than normally expected may have to be studied well to rule out structural defects. regards,

thank you for your answer, does this also apply for oral contrast ct scans? Does this apply to oral contrast CT's as well?
