What Does A White Scab On Middle Of The Lower Lip Indicate?

Question: I have a white scab or blotch on middle of lower lip and is not inside and not outside but on the middle of my lip. does not bother me but concern has not gone away for 4-5 months. putting lip balm and antibiotic ointment on it. it almost looks like it was a cut but this was not the case, never any bleeding or even swelling, thought may have been UV exposure or something

is this over the counter cream or do i need a prescription? Also is this contageous in any way?I have a prescription for my checks of Hydrocortisone / Clindamycin. I think it has some steroid in it would this help on this area? could this medicine cause this if some got on my lips?

Availability over the counter varies from country to country. You can check with your chemist. No it is not contagious. It is an autoimmune disease and will remain confined to you. Thank you
