Question: hello I am a female 39 yo and in decent health. On 03.10.15 i had some numbers run and I wanted to see if I should be concerned about any of it. Total Cholesterol 142. LDL is 73. HDL is 59. Triglycerides is 48. Glucose is 97. TC/HDL Ratio is 2.4. Should I be concerned about any of the numbers? I am concerned about my gluose and that in the past has ranged from 85-97. So Now i am really aware of what I eat, like try to eliminate sugars and carbs as much as possible. I am not perfect. I do exercise now on a regular basis. Thank you

Your analysis results are normal, keep going with diet and exercising...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

After reviewing your analysis I confirm that your numbers are normal. Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol HDL cholesterol and triglycerides are normal. My advice is to continue with healthy lifestyle and diet to keep them at normal values.

Your fasting glucose levels is normal too and this exclude diabetes. However to exclude any glucose intolerance (pre diabetes) i recommend to do glycosylated hemoglobin and glucose levels two hours after eating. Meanwhile you should keep going with diet and exercising.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!

Hello, So do you think I could be pre diabetes? When I ate healthy for a week, cut out carbs and sweets as much as possible, I fasted at 88 so it dropped like 10 points. Is it too late you think and I am pre diabetes?

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX

Your fasting glucose levels are normal and based on that you are normal and shouldn't do anything. However in order to diagnose any metabolic syndrome (pre diabetes, dyslipidemia) in an early stage I suggested to run those examinations.

Early detection of metabolic syndromes is the best way to deal with them. Also diet and healthy lifestyle are essential in the prevention and treatment of metabolic syndromes.

For the moment your data are normal and you shouldn't worry about anything.

Wish you health!
