Brief Answer: Follicultis Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. The lesion appears to be due to folliculitis. It is inflammation of a secretary gland follicle present in abundant in the vaginal and introital mucosa. This is very common and happens either due to a bacterial infection or when exposed to an irritant from a fabric. This is not serious, taking Tab Motrin 400 mg twice daily for three days would help to get rid of the same. If does not subside with tab Motrin alone, then you may need a course of antibiotics where the cause is infection. Consult your gynecologist for the same. Wish you good health. regards,

Brief Answer: Not necessarily Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing back. It can occur even in case of trauma during the child birth. Folliculitis due to any cause would not last more than for two to three weeks. If existent since long then it needs to be examined in detail to rule out any growths. regards,
