What Does A Red Patch On Scrotum Indicate?

Question: Hi! I noticed a red patch on my scrotum last night where the scrotum and my thigh meet. It does not itch that much unless I aggravate it and the itching is not painful. It looks like a dry rash. There are not blisters but there are a few bumps around the hairs. What could this be?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have rash over scrotum and inner side of thigh .

This is most likely to be due to fungal infection of skin (Jack Itch)

Please apply topical anti fungal ointment like Meconazole twice daily after cleaning the affected area with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to wash your inner wares in hot water mixed with antiseptic solution like Dettol .

Observe proper personal hygiene by washing the affected area with warm water twice daily.

This will get cured within 5 days.

Thank you for your answer. In the back of my mind I was worried it may be herpes. Is there a possibility it could be herpes? Or is that me being paranoid?
