Brief Answer: Cause could be- Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the lump. Possibilities that may need to be considered include enlarged bursa, lipomas, cysts, growths from underlying connective tissue etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray of the area affected and FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) of lump under his/her guidance. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care

Hi again, please refer to all the questions and answers above before answering this question. I got my period a couple of days ago. I had breast pain and tenderness and sore nipples since for two weeks since I ovulated and had a second prolactic episode ( some breast milk discharge in my other breast this time.) My breast are still sore and my period is over. I do have Fibrocystic breast condition. I am 49 yr old woman. I got my blood work but it is not back yet. Do you think the breast pain is still from hormonal changes. Remember I went off the pill in December. Could it be from going off the pill?

Brief Answer: Could occur from going off the pill. Detailed Answer: Hi, I am not able to see your other questions as these are confidential. As I am an orthopaedic surgeon, so it is better if you ask me questions related to orthopaedics. I think your breast pain is due to hormonal changes and this could occur from going off the pill.
