Brief Answer: Altered appears of uterine muscle layer. Detailed Answer: Hello, Normally uterine muscular layer appears homogeneous that is smooth and uniform in appearance or texture. When the texture becomes coarse and rough , sonologist reports it as abnormal echo-textures.Generally underlying cause is multiple tiny fibroids which cannot be measured, adenomyomatosis or endometriosis. In your cases since one fibroid has been detected, it is very likely to small tiny fibroids causing this abnormal echotexture. You can discuss this with your doctor. And doctor is very likely to adopt wait and watch approach as no active treatment is needed. Hope this answers your question. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
