Question: Hi doctor

Brief: normal blood tests but 4 things are not in normal range

Normal tests actually very good:

Everything is great

Normal blood picture below:::::: normal reference are between brackets

Haemoglobin: 13.4 reference (13-18)
Red blood cells: 4.7 reference(4.5-6.5)
White blood cells: 4,800 reference (4000-10000)
Basophilis : 0% reference (0-100%)
Eosinphilis : 48 reference(40-400)
Neutrophilis: 3216 reference(2500-7500)
Monocytes : 240 reference(200-800)
Blast cells : 0%
Myeleos : 0%
Metamyelos: 0%
Mpv : 7 reference (6.5-11)
Mcv : 85.5 reference(76-96)
Mch : 29 reference(27-32)
Mchc : 33.5 reference(32-36)
Rdw : 13 reference(10-15)
Pdw: 11 reference(10-18)

Abnormal blood picture below:::::
Blood platelets- 122,000 reference(150,000-400,000)
Michrohaematocrit- 40 reference(42-46)
Pct - 0.083% reference(.100-.500)
Lymphocytes - 1296 reference(1500-3500)

IMPORTANT NOTICE: doctor said he is not worried from the low blood platelets because of the large quantity of pain killers i take for my migraines and antibiotics for my sinus infections

in addition he said that the abnormalities are not at risk because if there was something risky then it would have badly effected the rest of my white blood cell counts and haemoglobin

is this true? If not then am i at risk? If so then what am i at risk for and what should i do please help?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
The values outside reference range do not suggest any disease/abnormality

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

I will take each abnormal parameter individually.
Low platelet count can occur in number of conditions like decreased production of platelets by the bone marrow, increased destruction of platelets in marrow or in peripheral blood or increased consumption of platelets.
Destruction of platelets can occur due to various causes like immune mediated reactions, antibodies directed against platelets or direct toxic effect of some drug.
Since, you are taking pain killers from long time, your doctor had rightly identified drugs to be the probable cause of low platelets.
Due to low platelet count the parameter- plateletcrit (PCT) is also low.
So, there is nothing to worry about it.
The hematocrit is mildly reduced.
Hematocrit measures the mass of red blood cells against plasma.
If you notice your red blood cell count is towards lower side and this is responsible for low hematocrit.
Again nothing to worry because hemoglobin is within range.
A slight decrease in absolute lymphocyte count is nothing serious.
It does not suggest any disease condition.

Abnormalities in laboratory testing may not always signify anything serious or any disease state.
So, relax and wish you good health.

Thanks and take care

Thank you doctor for your sincere reply,

My question is whenever i search lymphopenia and thrombocyte, i see that their only causes are the following:

Luekemia
Hiv
Chemotherapy- do not receive chemo
Virus c - negative
Alchohol- while i do not drink

Im really scared are luekemia or hiv the only left causes?
If i had any of them , wldnt had it effected my cbc ranges/counts.
If they are not the cause ? Then what could it be?
Please help

God bless
Please note:

My sex is always protected with a condom and it didnt break.
The only time i didnt have a condom on, i didnt insert my penis into her vagina it was only rubbing from the outside with my shaft and it had no cuts that an eye could see.

Help please am i like that at risk?

Brief Answer:
No feature suggestive of leukemia of HIV infection in your history.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
As I have mentioned in my answer previously that the pain killers that you are taking from long time are the most probable cause of low platelets.
Leukemia is characterized by very high blood counts and symptoms of tiredness, weakness, recurrent infections, bleeding in the form of small red=purple colored dots on the body.
In addition, the peripheral blood smear examination shows presence of abnormal or atypical cells.
You can get a peripheral blood smear examination to rule out possibility of leukemia.
However, none of your symptoms are suggestive of leukemia.
HIV infection is characterized by fever, diarrhea and lymph node enlargement.
Do you have any of these symptoms?
If no, then possibility of HIV is negligible.
HIV infection can be transmitted by unsafe sexual practice, sharing of needles (common in drug addicts), from infected mother to child and needle stick injuries.
You have mentioned that you practice safe sex so there is no need to worry.

Thanks and take care

Info for your consideration so you cant mix signs:

1.(weak and fatigue) -Im an anxiety and depression sufferer so sometimes i feel tired and weak and sometimes i feel active and strong.

2. (Fever and diahrea)- i had two or three stomach flu this year but this could be a cause of dirty junk food food so i experience fever and diahrea when i had the stomach flu and then i recovered.

3. (Recurrent infections)- im an allergic rhinitis case so every now and then i have some sinusitis
But ever since i nasal irrigate frequently i had no episodes of infections.

IMPORTANT:
I do not have any enlargement of lymph nodes
My normal body temp is ranges 36.5-37 degress celcius
When im ok i dont have diahrea
Last labs said (NO ABNORMAL CELLS WERE SEEN)
NO Weight loss as a matter of a fact i recently gained weight
No unprotected sex BUT there was one that i did have a condom so i refused to insert into the vagina so i rubbed my shaft from the outside onto the vagina AND had intact or NO CUTS on my shaft skin that an eye could see. CAN THIS BE A RISK?

I GAVE YOU ALL INFO AND QUESTIONS please answer

thanks
