My dad was recently admitted in Pace Hospital at XXXXXXX for complaint pertaining to Accute Pancreatitis.

He was admitted in ICU for almost 10 days and then 20 days on bed rest with Medicines (High Antibiotics).

Currently all the medical reports are normal however he is not feeling to have food, as doctor says that this is the symptoms of Pancreatitis and quite normal, however he have to eat little in every 2 hours of interval.

Please find the recent discharge reports attached and other testing reports done today & advice.

Brief Answer:
All reports are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw all the attachments.
His latest reports are normal.
Nothing to worry.
As your doctor said, there will be loss of appetite for few weeks after attack of Acute pancreatitis. It is a serious condition which can lead to many complications. I have seen many patients presenting with severe pain abdomen and respiratory distress. It's very nice to hear that your dad has recovered and was discharged without any residual illness.
He should take frequent small feeds.
He should completely stop Alcohol if he is a Alcoholic.
He will recover gradually.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish him good health and speedy recovery.
Regards

Thank so much doctor XXXXXXX XXXXXXX . its so nice to see the prompt response. I would also bring to your notice that my dad is not feeling to have anything in food. Do you suggest if we can give him vitamin B12 injection at this stage.

Today we met Dr MBV XXXXXXX at KIM'S hospital and he suggested to eat Egg for more nutritions..thay is to boiled.. shall i ask my dad to eat the boiled egg with the yellow part or only the white part.. since we are jains and pure veg we have no idea about this.

Brief Answer:
He can take B complex capsule along with Zinc.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
In my opinion, Vitamin B12 injection is not necessary at this stage. It should be given under doctor's supervision.
Dr MBV XXXXXXX is a very good Gastroenterologist. As per Veterinary doctors, Egg that is purchased from poultry is considered as Vegetarian as it is produced artificially. So,he can eat both Egg white and yellow portions.
It's better to consult a Dietician in XXXXXXX and take his/her opinion. Every corporate hospital is having a Dietician now.
Nothing to worry. His appetite will become normal.
I prescribe Aristozyme syrup 5ml twice daily to my patients to increase their appetite.
Wish him good health and speedyrecovery.
Regards
