Brief Answer:
Platelet count is nearly normal. Please work on increasing Vitamin D levels.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir/Madam,

I did review your question regarding your father's health as well as reviewed his other reports.

1) A platelet count of 1,40,000/cumm is nearly normal and macroplatelets can be seen in a regenerating bone marrow where new platelets are normal. The meanplatelet volume is slightly high due to which some larger platelets seen. Also the hemoglobin is nearly normal and so is the white cell count. The MCV is slightly elevated which can happen in recent infection or vitamin B12/folic acid deficiency. I would recommend having a healthy diet regiment rich in proteins, green leafy vegetables and please follow up with a repeat hemogram report after 3 weeks to check if the hemoglobin and platelet count normalizes completely.

2) I also noticed slightly elevated Alkaline phosphatase and low vitamin D. I would recommend once weekly intake of vitamin D sachet(60,000 IU) for 6 weeks followed by repeat assessement of these values and also regularing 10- 15 minutes in bright sunlight with good sunscreen protector applied to replenish Vitamin D stores and maintain healthy bone metabolism. Also regular milk intake is advised and daily calcium tablet 1 daily.
In view of a normal platelet count, I am basically foreseeing no abnormal condition or problem as of now. The values may be seen in people recovering from recent infection yet I would recommend a repeat hemogram after 3-4 weeks to see if all the counts are normalized or are still decreasing and also advise the necessary measures to take Vitamin D. Also, please let me know if he is experiencing any symptoms recently like easy bleeding, fatigue etc.

I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns sir.
Wish you and your family all the best.

Brief Answer:
Yes blood pressure can be maintained with a mix of good medication and diet

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for your reply query. I think that elevated blood pressure can be maintained with good medication and proper diet which includes low salt diet, more fruits and vegetables in the diet and less saturated fats and carbohydrates. Avoid things like pickles or Papad that we have a lot in our XXXXXXX subcontinent diet. Also, relaxation regimes like yoga or Tai Chi can help reduce pressure. Once your blood pressure is maintained for a good amount time you can discuss with your doctor regarding tapering off your medication and normalizing solely on proper diet.

Rest you can follow the same advice as I mentioned in my previous reply. And please let me know the follow up blood report so that we can discuss the further actions from there on.

I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns.
