Question: I just started menopause, had blood work done and my AST (SGOT) level is 96 and my ALT (SGPT) level is 188, I did gain 20 pounds since last year. help with advice

Based on the history you have shared, derangement of liver functions tests with menopause doesn't make direct relation except through fats deposition in liver leading to a condition called fatty liver disease.
It can be diagnosed on ultrasound abdomen with bright liver echo texture or with lipid profile. Meanwhile some basic blood work to rule out some treatable but potentially aggressive conditions which may cause such derangement upto such values that you have mentioned, like viral serologies as well as autoimmune profile.
Meanwhile try to avoid fatty and greasy foods and take fibre containing foods and ispaghol husk. Try to make a diet plan with a nutritionist and try to start with brisk exercises and also take supplements for Vitamin D3 and calcium as with menopausal women it is advisable to avoid bone diseases.
