Brief Answer:
Normal readings, but do a lab test as well.

Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your question.
Both the readings are perfectly normal. However, please be aware that home monitoring gucometer devices are just for monitorng, not recommended for diagnosis. So if you have a family history of diabetes and if you are above 30, it is best to do a lab glucose test.

I did 3 months ago in the lab & it wast 87 (2 hours after eating) .
But you mean that the above readings may be false even & i can't depend on it as regular check up every year .
Note : my dad became disbetic after his 60s . & i have 36 years now .

Brief Answer:
Lab test value was great. Not to worry

Detailed Answer:
The lab test done 3 months ago is reassuring. I am not saying the glucometer readings are false. They are superb devices to monitor sugar at home. But shouldnt be used for diagnosis.( not recommended). Glucometer measures capillary blood, lab measures plasma .

No matter what age your dad developed diabetes, but once you turn 30, it is recommended to do a sugar test once every year. It may even be worthwhile doing a glucose tolerence test ( 75 gram test)

Brief Answer:
Normal values

Detailed Answer:
FAsting should be less than 100 mg/dl ( 70-100 range)
After eating ( 2 hours) it should be less than 140 mg/dl ( 80-140 range).

If you have a fasting > 126, or after eating more than 200, then you have diabetes.
If you have fasting between 100 to 126 and post eating values between 40 to 200, then it is called pre diabetes.
