What Do My ECG Test Results Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 3 May 2016
Question: Normal EKG with NSR, Ischemia...what does that mean? Blood pressure: 107/70; 5'7" and weigh 166 lbs. No health problems of any kind; on no meds of any kind. This was on an EKG I had done for pre-op for a face lift next week.

Brief Answer:
ECG can be false positive for ischemia

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

Rest ECG is not very specific for detecting ischemia, especially in women. Stress tests are more reliable. If you have no complaints, no other risk factors, it could be non specific change.
You can attach your ECG, so I can give you better answer, if I have a look on the ECG.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health

Thanks! I am good to go. I was in such a hurry to get the testing done, that I forgot to ask for an actual copy of the EKG and for explanations. Appreciate your help. Dr. XXXX
