What Do Multiple Lumps On Both Thighs Suggest?

default
Posted on Tue, 29 Sep 2015
Question: I am 48 year old female breast cancer survivor for 8 years. Months ago while exercising I noticed multiple lumps in both areas of my upper thighs, they are painless except one seems to be on my nerve on the right thigh that is a little uncomfortable. I am very nervous to get tests done and wanted to know are lumps a sign of bone cancer or sarcoma and is it normal to have multiple lumps that are cancerous and not feel sick. My blood work a few months ago was normal. I work out daily especially my thigh muscles. Any info would be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Could be lipoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The multiple lump in both areas of your upper thigh are lipomas

Lipoma is a growth of fat cells in a thin, fibrous capsule usually found just below the skin

The are benign in nature

It will go away on its own

There is nothing to worry

Brief Answer:
Little chance of recurrence

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Since 8 years have passed after you were diagnosed with breast cancer thre is very little chance of recurrence

However if the symptoms increase in size or becomes painful then you have to do a biopsy test to rule cancer out
