What Do Bumps On Penis Indicate?

default
Posted on Sat, 18 Oct 2014
Question: Hi, for the last few months I've had an issue on my foreskin, it started with it getting dry and cracking, my foreskin got tight, it happened before so I wasn't too worried eventually that healed the pain went away but then I noticed what looked like scars and I thought to myself "that makes sense" because the cracks hurt like hell.

Now I'm noticing bumps on my penis that's kinda itchy not all the time but it happens and I figured that might go away but now it's spreading and I'm super worried.

I don't know what to do. I don't think it's an std. Maybe scabies or a bad scaring from the yeast infection. When I clean my penis I do see white dead skin like err.. yeast smelling I guess flakes? Maybe powder. Do I still have a yeast infection and is it causing this?

Brief Answer:
Likely to be Balanoposthitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day

Dear Mr XXXXXXX

First and foremost let me reassure you that there is no cause for concern, things can be taken care off.
Going by your description it is likely to be Balanoposthitis (inflammation of foreskin and glans/head of Penis ). The tightness of foreskin is due to development of adhesion between foreskin and glans . The whitish material is thickened secretion known as smegma ( in majority of cases the smegma is cause of problem. The smegma gets accumulated under the foreskin causing inflammation and then leading to fungal infection.)

It would be very helpful if you could provide me clinical picture for assessment and confirmation so that I would be able to provide you the solution. .

Awaiting your response

Take care

Brief Answer:
It is fungal Balanoposthitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for providing the clinical picture. It is obviously Fungal Balanoposthitis.

I would suggest you the following

1. Hot Seitz bath : To a tub of lukewarm water add 2 spoons of antiseptic solution. Sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day. Pull the foreskin and clean the secretion

2. Clean and dry the area

3. Apply combination of antifungal like Clotrimazole and steroid like Betamethasone. Apply it twice a day for 2 weeks . It should definitely improve.

Take care
