Brief Answer:
Black tarry stool indicates bleeding anywhere in your GI tract.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Black tarry stools indicates active bleeding somewhere in your gastrointestinal tract probably in stomach. Detailed evaluation needed to find out where the location of bleed and the basic cause of it.
Blood thinners can provoke the bleeding. It is better to avoid pain killers like Aleve and aspirin as it can aggregate bleeding. Prolonged use of pain killers can cause gastric ulcer and bleeding peptic ulcer.
Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated, You might need an upper GI endoscopy to find out the bleeeding spot. Other investigations like stool occult blood,CECT, Basic blood investigations are also needed in your case.
As of now avoid spicy food stuffs and take antacids like omeprazole.

Wishing you good health
Thanks
