ive had a kidney and throat infection thats gone now and i have oral thrush from antibiotics i feel sick and wanting to eat what can i eat to get my immune up ?

Brief Answer: fresh fruits and vegetable based diet & probiotics Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for query. You were taking antibiotics for kidney and throat infections. The oral thrush post antibiotics especially heavy dose of antibiotics is common. Please use hexidine mouth wash frequently and clotrimazole mouth paint for local application in oral cavity in consultation with your doctor. In diet, a diet based on fresh fruits and vegetables is beneficial. But the problem of oral thrush is more common in diabetic patients, so please get your diabetic status checked. If diabetic, please take diabetic diet as advised by dietician (foods with low glycemic index). Also add probiotics as a part of your diet and B complex for few days. Wish you good health. Regards

Brief Answer: Fresh home made yogurt, orange, kiwi, strawbery... Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Probiotics are the live bacteria present in the yogurt and help in restoring the flora of the gut. So, fresh yogurt is the best if you can make it at home and which has not been preserved for long. Otherwise there are many over the counter probiotic preparations available (like Yakut) but what ever is available in your market will suffice, just keep a watch on the expiry date and how that has been preserved in cold chain (if required). Prebiotics are fibre supplements which help by providing a medium for growth of already existing gut bacteria and are available as market preparations. You can ask your GP for that. Fruits- any fresh readily available seasonal fruit will be good. Oranges, grapes, strawberries, kiwi, blue berries, mangoes, papaya all fall in this category. But do not go on a finding spree for these fruits and whatever is seasonal should be eaten. Feel free to ask another query. Wish you good health.

Is onken natural bio yougurt ok to eat and bananas or apples ?? ive also bought feboglobin vitabiotics is this classed as a probiotic or not ? I have nystatin but i would love to start eating normal and i get anxiety since ive been ill so i would like to get back to normal now !! Kind regards XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: All fresh fruits, vegetables & any fresh yogurt Detailed Answer: Hi, As already explained, nothing special in yogurt or fruits needs to be bought and fresh yogurt, which is available in kitchen and any fresh seasonal fruit, will do. All fresh fruits contain anti-oxidants and are good. Similarly, all fresh vegetables are good. As far as going for specific brand names, I would not like comment on that. You can shift to normal diet as soon as you like as shifting to normal diet always helps. Wish you good health. Regards

Brief Answer: It is iron with folic acid, B6, B12 & few minerals Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for the query. Feroglobin (I suppose), is a combination of iron with folic acid and vitamins B6 & B12 & few minerals and helps in rejuvenating. Iron helps is building up the low Haemoglobin. Not exactly classed as a prebiotic. Regards
