What Causes Yellow Urine With Black Stool After Years Of Alcohol Abuse?
Question: hi doctor i am XXXXXXX from goa i have been drinking for the last 20 yrs everyday initially it was less but few years lots nearly 1/2 to 3/4 bottle a day 2 times afternoon by 12 to night 10 or 12 everyday i use to get yellow color urine as well as my stools were black in color and also with lots of bad alcohol smell it was also affecting my sleep my weight is 103 i use to make 100 % alcohol by distilling it from sugar and yeast i also got hiatus hernia where in i would get acid re flux so got my self operated when the doc was operating iam sending you attached liver shots now i have completely stopped drinking for nearly 7 months my urine has turned back to liter color but my stool is still not fully off the black color as well as odor as well as when i pass gas it smells bad i also have got sprouting of the liver and my doc says its liver cirrhosis
now i have been on the net and find that there is no cure and liver cures it self so will live 52 help me and what dosage for how long or any other treatment for me

After having gone through the problem of alcoholism described in your query
it seems to me that you have some sort of liver disease due to chronic alcohol intake resulting in ? Cirrhosis of the liver.
The black colored stool seems to be due to bleeding from the stomach because of cirrhosis of liver.
I would advise you to take Vitamin E containing supplements (tablets) as they are found to be effective in patients with liver disease because of their anti oxidant properties.
Beside you must take fruits, green vegetables, drink plenty of water, etc.
