Question: Have almost entire body very itchy. Tiny red dots and splatches of red, Dermatologist thinks excema. did blood test and says test confirms excema. have had similar in past, 6 or seven years ago, back then problem was systemic fungal infection first diagnosed by right large toenail with fungul condition,,,treated successfuly with pills and creams. I suspect same this time. Doc has me on tacrolimus, but condition not responding and in fact getting worse. Extreme etching, cannot get to sleep.can treatment for systemic fungal infection be used at same time as Excema treatment? I am convinced it is fungal...already have three toenails beginning to show fungal growth on same foot as before.

Can take oral antifungals with eczema medicines, upload pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints and can understand your concern.
If you have doubts about it being fungal infection you can take oral antifungal medicines along with eczema medication.
Meanwhile you can upload the pictures of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.

Brief Answer:
Tablet terbinafine or capsule itraconazole

Detailed Answer:
I think oral antifungals are prescription drugs.
You can try getting either tablet terbinafine 250 mg once daily or capsule itraconazole 100 mg twice daily. XXXXXXX eczema medicines are mainly oral steroids like tablet prednisone and other immunosuppressive medicines.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
