Brief Answer:
Fungal, viral possible. Ineffective Amoxicillin?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your dental condition is most likely fungal or viral. I have reviewed your history and know you have taken amoxicillin. Try to add a probiotic medication to your daily routine. Many medications are difficult on the digestive tract. I suggest acidopholus be taken to avoid the common side effect of a yeast infection when taking amoxicillin. If your symptoms persist, the prescription anti-fungal medication may be required. Your dentist can evaluate your oral health and help confirm this diagnosis.
Viral conditions can also be considered. Strep and other viruses can be carried in your salvia and left untreated can have multiple systematic symptoms associated with this condition. Augmentin may offer relief if you are not getting relief from Amoxicillin. Realize some infections are more resistant than others and a change in medication may be necessary. I do not know how long you have taken amoxicillin.
I suggest that you keeping working closely with your physician. This doctor can follow you clinically and update tests according to the change in your symptoms. Try to relax and reduce your stress. I know you have had HIV testing and have already a an as to when you should retest. Follow the prior advice and keep yourself well hydrated, follow a proper diet and take balanced vitamins. Mske sure you are up to date with your dental exam and practice good daily dental care. be sure to clean your to tongue. Rinse with warm salt water.
I glad to assist you further. Thank you for your inquiry.

Brief Answer:
Establish balance, possible medication choices

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Gastric disturbances and imbalances can cause oral symptoms. Dry mouth can alter the consistency of and decrease the amount of your saliva. Your oral tissue will respond to this change. These conditions may exhibit a coating on the tongue. I suggest that you follow my initial recommendations. Probiotics can help settle your gastrointestinal-intestinal system and helps maintain bacteria in balance. Due to the length of time you have experienced discomfort, you may need a prescription for Nystatin to treat an oral yeast infection. Combination rinses by prescription called "magic mouth" can be customized to help treat your discomfort. Your dentist can evaluate your condition and decide if these prescriptions should be recommended.
Look for triggers in your diet. Try to reduce acidic and spicy foods. Drink plenty of water. Acid reducing medication is available if you feel acid reflux may be contributing to your discomfort. A gastric specialist can do studies and check your intestinal bacteria to look for imbalances. Consider this course of action if the intestinal discomfort persists after you have tried my suggestions to restore balance to your system.
You may need more time to allow your system to recuperate especially with Viral conditions. Discuss with your doctor your persistent symptoms to decide if you need a different round of antibiotics. Consider Augmentin and Lysozyme Chloride as a broader spectrum treatment. Continue to monitor your system with testing recommended by your physician.
Thank you for updating me on your medications. I hope you will start to feel relief soon and find my suggestions helpful.
