What Causes White Spots On The Tongue?

Question: What are these little bitty bumps on my tongue. I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I have thrush, but I didn't notice these bumps till today. They arent painful are anything. I was recently tested for hiv and it came back negative, so the thrush isn't the due to that. It's been over six months since my last sexual encounter so I know the test was accurate.

What has happened is that the usual coating on your tongue ahs decreased and the normal taste buds are now more prominent. You do not have any disease that I can see from your picture. What you are seeing is completely normal.
