Brief Answer:
Metformin. dose to be advised by family doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for follow up query.
It's good that all the tests I had suggested are within normal limits.
In that case you have to concentrate on eating habits/sleep/ excessive physical & psychological stress leading to uncontrollable eating spurts.
Strong exercises leading to sweating/doubling of heart rate after exercise (provided you are in perfect cardiovascular health) is recommended along with strict dietary control as per dietician’s advice are the scientific ways to get rid of obesity which is without medical/genetic element.
There are number of herbal & allopathic medicines which help in reduction of weight. You have already tried one of them.
Actually the weight lost by changing lifestyle tend to be safe/ permanent,
as opposed to medicine induced weight loss.
Still if you insist, I would suggest you to try Metformin -for using up calories .The dose of the medicine should be advised by your family doctor after examining you & co relating the findings with your blood reports.
I hope that satisfies you. Any further query, I will answer happily.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Metformin helps in difficult weight reduction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for the follow up query.
You have rightly pointed out that Metformin is a drug for type Diabetes.
But let me tell you something,
There is a condition called 'Insulin resistance' Insulin is a hormone that helps in utilization of sugar. Insulin resistance is the condition where cells fail to respond to normal action of insulin , so the blood sugar goes on rising, it gets converted in fat ,thus obesity starts. Actually this stage passes unnoticed,& goes on increasing to result in diabetes. So you can say that insulin resistance is causative factor for obesity & also precursor of diabetes-that's why same drug is useful in both conditions.
*Difficulty in loosing weight is one of the symptom of Insulin resistance . On the other hand it increases hunger & causes increase in weight. This is why Metformin is advised in difficult weight reductions. ( dose to be decided by your doctor after physical check up & observing glucose tolerance test results only ).
* Other drugs like Orlistat,Lorcaserin are to be prescribed by obesity specialists.
I hope the answer has satisfied you. any further query is welcome.
Thank you.
