The most common cause of acute or sudden onset hemiparesis(weakness of one side of the body) is stroke.If it has lasted overnight and completely improved now,it may be a 'Transient ischemic attack'(TIA).

Please visit a neurologist urgently to discuss and get a Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of Brain done (including diffusion studies) so as to establish the diagnosis.
This should be done on an urgent basis,so as to start the treatment as soon as possible.
