What Causes Vaginal Itching And Pain After Non-penetrative Intercourse?

default
Posted on Thu, 15 Oct 2015
Question: Hi,
So I got fingered by my boyfriend a week ago that followed by burning, itching and some pain inside and outside my vagina. It stopped for few days and came back again as some burning and itching that comes back and go (not happening everyday). The oral sex he gave me was not inside my vagina but around the clitoris (and up) area. We didn't have sex. I had some yellowish/clear white discharge that stopped after few days and I think came back once.
Also, I got swollen a quite painful vein on the left handside of my clitoris... Should I be worried about it? It is painful without touching it even
I am really worried and I will be very grateful for an answer! Thank you

Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible

You symptoms and history suggest that you are having inflammation of the area.. it does'nt clearly sound like infection though, here are a few suggestion , they are expected to help you without even going to doctor.

1) Keep good hygiene of the area.
2) Take tabler Brufen 400mg thrice a day daily it will get better , brufen will help with both oain and inflammation.
3) Don't involve in further sexual activity,
4) Take anti histamin like citerizine 10mg daily at night.
5)If puss filled discharge or blood starts coming then contact your dr immediately.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.

Regrads.

Hi Dr. XXXXXXX

Thank you for the fast replying I'm appreciating it!
I have few more questions concerning this topic...
Is neurofen good enough to take instead of the medication you've suggested? If not what's the difference, what is it this brufen?
Secondly... I'm worried I could get any STD or other diseases from the sexual activities I've done... Could you just confirm what I could get from what I've done till now? If I can get HIV as well?
Also, should I get to the doctor anyway? I'm not in the country at the moment but only in two weeks... Is it alright to wait that long to go see a gynaecologist?
Thank you so much for your help!!

Brief Answer:
Nurofen is same as brufen

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back?

Neurofen is same as the medication i suggested you can use that too instead.
There are no evident chances to get an STD and no clear symptoms of an STD. Getting HIV is also a remote possiblity at maxiumum you can get a UTI which is very easy to control and treat.

But at the moment it only looks like an inflammation which can occur due to rubbing and contact etc there shouldn't be much to worry about.

You can definitely wait 2 weeks to see your gynaecologist. I would suggest you not to panic, just wait till the body gets over the infection by its own defence mechanism.

Regards.

Hi,

Thank you so much I feel a bit calmer now...
But is it normal it's been more than a week now that I still have burning, itching and this vein that is painful? Does it take that long to go away?

Brief Answer:
Yes it can happen

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back,

It may be normal when there is damage to mucosa due to rubing or nail injury or something like that then inflammation can set in even this late,

At maximum there can be infection, just keep good hygiene even a minor infection will settle by itself if it doesnt improve even after that then do visit your doctor, you might need antibiotics then but before that do get a proper checkup. Till then use nurofen hopefully it will do.

Stay blessed.
