What Causes Upper Back Pain?

Question: Upper back pain where lung is. Daughter had pneumonia 2 weeks ago. I have no coughing or fever. Just the pain in my upper back, it could be I pulled something. Could this be pneumonia?

I am so sorry to hear about this pain. Pneumonia usually presents with cough, shortness of breath, fever and maybe pain. This is not typical of your symptoms. I will lean more towards a probable muscle pain. I recommend that you take pain medications such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen. This would get the symptoms resolved. If this fails to happen, only then and then would I want to get an xray and examination to understand more about this.
