Brief Answer:
looks like pancreatitis with gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

As per your symptoms you seem to be having alcohol induced pancreatitis, which subsides on alcohol abstainance and evident by raised ggt (a marker of oxidative stress).

Also you are having gastritis which resolves to an extent on eating less spicy vegetarian foods.

So i would suggest that you take a course of a ppi tablet like pantaprazole or omepraze on empty stomach for a few weeks along with a gastrokinetic like levosulpride to prevent reflux and relieve constipation.

Also first and foremost you need to stop alcohol consumption completely, or whatever treatment you may take, it won't help.

And take a high fiber diet and fruits as they are rich source of antioxidant.

Hope i have been helpful.

Brief Answer:
still i will go with same diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Sorry if i had missed out on anything in my last reply.

As per your reports you are having high cholesterol and you need to cut down on fats and oils and red meat. You may eat fish, but not fried one. And consult a physician for medication for the same.

Have you also got serum amylase or lipase done in these tests? These are done for pancreatitis. If not, then get it done.

As per me, all the diseases you are suffering from can be greatly improved upon by diet restrictions. You need to cut down on fats, alcohol and spices. Eat more of fish, oats, green vegetables and fruits. These will take care of your constipation as well (one bowel of oats daily, its very good for cholesterol control).

In your reports your liver enzymes are also raised (sgot, sgpt). But these can even be raised in pancreatitis. So get serum amylase and lipase done and start on a ppi with gastrokinetic and antilipid drugs in consultation with a physician and stop alcohol.

Hope this time i have covered everything.

Dr. Ashish Verma

Brief Answer:
value is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

The values of amylase and lipase are normal. So it can be mild liver damage due to alcohol.

So continue your udiliv and stop alcohol and fatty foods.

You are just 47yrs with diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol and mild liver damage. What else you want. Leave alcohol and follow the adviced diet and things will be much better.
