What Causes Unusual Stool Color, Nausea, Vomiting And Pain In Lower Back?

default
Posted on Thu, 26 Feb 2015
Question: For the last 5 days I've been getting unusual stool colours varying from brown to green and just recently grey.

I had some initial nausea on day 1 with vomiting and pain in my lower left back.

I am taking Panadine Forte pain killers, just recently started dex amphetamine at 30mg daily for ADHD.

I'm a 45 year old male . Never smoked. I drink alcohol.

Brief Answer:
Get stool occult blood test done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through the description you have provided.
Have you noticed dark yellow coloured urine during the last 5 days. If yes then you would need a liver function test to look for jaundice.

I would suggest you get a stool test for occult blood. In case the test is negative the in wouldn't worry about the changing colour of the stools
Hope this helps
