Question: Hi I cricked my neck on a flight back from holiday last august. Four days later I had a horrible feeling in my chest like someone had twisted all my muscles in my chest I had a horrible dizzy feeling with sickness and weakness in my body. I went to a osteopath as gps were not helpful who started treating me for a blockage in my shoulder. After 6-7 sessions my dizzyness subsided and I felt more myself again. But still had dull pull in chest feeling. However 2 months ago I had the same onset symptoms with twisting and tightening feelin in my chest that went into my jaw the next morning I felt extremely poorly dizzy again and had a numb tongue over the last two months I have had multiple symptoms continue to come out such as racing heart when standing pressure in one side of my head neck pain and pressure also in my lumba region of my back. When standing if I turn my head I get so dizzyness I feel physically sick and my bottom half of my legs go weak. Very strange .... I'm due to see a neurologist tomorrow but do you have any idea ... Oh I get blurred vision to only when my head starts to tighten up

Brief Answer: Get MRI scan done. Detailed Answer: Hi, I have gone through your query. You had fight in last august, this means you have symptoms from last year, which is very long time my friend. At that time if you had consult orthopedic surgeon then the problem may got immediately solved. My friend form your symptoms, it has been suggested that perhaps after fight some of your vertebral discs may have been prolapsed which lead to compression of nerves and stiffness in cervical spine area. But for proper diagnosis to be made you should get MRI scan of cervical spine done. MRI scan will tell the present condition of your cervical dics, vertebrae and condition of surrounding tissues in detail. It good that your have your appointment with neurologist. He will do your physical examination and tally reports and act accordingly. I hope it helps. If you have found my answer excellent then, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer 5 points for me, so that I get a good feedback. Thanks. Dr.Singh.

Brief Answer: Yes definetly Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for the query again. Yes, definitely you can go for MRI scan of whole spine, as you have already get your MRI of cervical spine done although you have not mentioned it in your previous query. I again emphasized my friend, that your physical examination is must. Your doctor will tally MRI report with that of physical examination report. Your doctor may advise your cervical collar with chin support or advise some form of surgery of disc if needed. One thing you must remember that you must do static cervical spine exercise and back strengthening exercise as uploaded on you-tube once pains subsides. You can also discus about tablet aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside, pregabalin etc. with your doctor. But do not take these medicines without prescription of doctor. Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening. I hope it helps. If you have found my answer excellent then, you may close the discussion with a feedback. Hi there i went to my neurologust today and he said that my neuro examination was fine however after looking in backs of my eyes he said he wants me to have a mri of my brain as i may have a ruptured vessel ... If so what is the treatment for this. And could this be causing muscle spasm in my body to happen and numb tongue a dizzyness and racing heart??? And i have been getting like a itching sensation over my body too ... Does these seem plausible if you could let me know thanks

Brief Answer: It may be the cause... Detailed Answer: Hi, Minor blood vessel rupture can present with little or no symptoms. I would suggest that you go ahead with MRI scan of brain as your doctor suspects it after detailed physical examination. It may cause numbness and tingles over some parts of the body. Itching may or may not be related. I would urge for a dermatologist opinion if you have rashes with itching. Treatment for bleeding in the brain depends on the cause, location, and extent of the hemorrhage. Mild bleeds don't need medical intervention. Moderate ones will need corticosteroids, or diuretics to reduce swelling in brain, and anticonvulsants to prevent seizures. Larger ones will need surgical intervention. At this moment, don't be worried. Go ahead with MRI scan. Rupture blood vessel is just a suspicion and diagnosis yet. I hope you have got your answer.
