What Causes Tingling Sensations And Sores On The Side Of Tongue?

default
Posted on Wed, 5 Oct 2016
Question: I wake up in the morning sometimes with what seems like acid burns on my toungue. The sores are always on the right side of my toungue in the same two or three spots. The pain is slight to occasionally moderate and messes with my speech for a couple days. How do I tell if this is caused by something like sodas or if it's a form of mouth herpes? And what is the best way to heal this?

Brief Answer:
Explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

If you are having any oral sore right now, please send a picture of them to evaluate myself.

The sores in your mouth noted sometimes when waking up in the morning could be due to drinking sodas. Try not to have any soda drink for one entire month and observe if the ulcers will be present or not.

Next, if you are also having burning sensation, then it could be due to reflux if acid liquid of the stomach.

Taking good hygiene of your mouth, brushing your teeth regularly, avoid foods causing hyperacidity of the stomach like chilly, spicy, fried foods at dinner, drink plenty of water and observe if you will have the same problem.

If none of above, then could be viral infection. Measures should be taken to strength your immunity like eating healthy and regularly, washing hands before and after eating, keep good hygiene especially while preparing food.

Hope this helps.
