What Causes Tingling And Numbness Around Eyes?

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Nov 2015
Question: I have had tingling and numbness around my eyes and on the bridge of my nose. My sinuses are clear. It started with head pressure and a headache a couple months ago. That is gone now. Took antibiotics thinking I was treating a sinus infection. Just have this persistent tingling. Also my eyes feel squishy as if there is a lot of fluid behind them.

Brief Answer:
Get a CT

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Your symptoms seem to be of Chronic Sinusitis. This kind of tingling is commonly associated with a long term disease.
I would advice you to get a CT of Paranasal sinuses to be sure that how severe is it exactly.
I would also advice you following:
1. To take an anti allergic like Levocetrizine once a day.
2. To use Fluticasone nasal spray daily for relief from Sinusitis.
3. To do steam inhalation atleast 3-4 times a day.
Once your sinus pressure is going to settle then only you would feel better.
Share my opinion with your doctor, get a CT and write back with report.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
