What Causes Tightness In Chest After Having Moxikind CV 625?

Question: Sir from past 2 days i am feeling tightness in my chest sometimes its less tight sometimes its not i was taking the medicine i.e Moxikind CV 625 because i was having pain in left side of throat but it gets more worse after taking only 1 pill after that i was drinking and smoking and I also had vomited some drink. And the next day the pain was gone then another day i was having cold and so i then had taken Moxikind CV 625 afer 3-4 ours i was feeling tightness in my chest then i take another moxikind CV 625 with Cetrizine and today the tightness is still there and the cold is gone please can you tell me that i am having side effects from this medicine If side effects then please give me any other medication. or i have any type of disease. Regarding What i Told you hear ??

1. Since when are you smoking?
2. How many cigarettes in a day?
3. Do you have shortness of breath?
4. Have you ever undergone chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)?

So if you are smoking from long time then I think you might be having bronchitis.
And you need chest x ray and PFT for the diagnosis.

The treatment of bronchitis is entirely different. You need to start inhaled medicines containing bronchodilators.

So let me know the answers of above questions for further suggestions.

Sir i am not of a chain smoker i smoke occasionally but useally when i get going i smoke 1-2 cigarettes a day not much. And i have not ever gone for any kind of x- ray. i dont think that i might be having bronchitis because the medicine Moxikind CV 625 side effect is bronchitis. and i never felt tightness of chest ever am not coughing up lot of mucus. I useally cough small amount of black mucus. Can you give me details of my condition or any other medicine other then moxikind CV 625. It Would be very helpfull.

Thanks for your reply.

Moxikind cv is amoxycillin plus clavulanic acid. It is antibiotic and does not cause bronchitis.
In my opinion you are having upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).

Try to follow these for URTI.
1. Avoid oily and spicy food.
2. Drink plenty of water.
3. Warm saline gargles 5-6 times a day.
4. Start fluoroquinolone group of antibiotic. Once daily for 5 days. It is a prescription drug and need to see a doctor for prescription.
5. Take antihistamines and anti inflammatory drug twice daily for 5 days.
6. Quit smoking. Not even single puff.

If you doesn't any improvement in 5 days then get done chest x ray as coughing out black mucus is not a good sign.

For now am not going to take any kind of medicines or what so ever ill stop smoking for now untill this problem resolves. If my condition worsen ill be visiting my physician thanks for your answers
