Brief Answer:
Get properly examined

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Slightly thick vaginal discharge is common with intake of oral contraceptive pills.
However, heavy bleeding with clots is not usual with pills.
Rather, it decreases the blood flow during periods.
I will suggest you to consult your treating gynecologist to get properly examined internally to rule out any lesion in cervix, vagina or uterus.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Would the lesions not have shown up on hysteroscopy. Biopsy of uterus lining was normal. Do you think a colposcopy is needed also? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Colposcopy should be done

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, some lesions on the cervix are not visible on hysteroscopy.
Colposcopy should be done to assess the cervix and diagnosis should be made accordingly.
