Question: Every morning my saliva is very thick and discoloured, can be green or even brown. My tongue is slightly swollen also

Looks like some infection. Not sure why they sent to sexual health clinic. I think you should get swab tested for common infections, then start a course of antibiotics and antifungal. Should control it.

Hi, not sure if there is an infected part. Every morning my tongue is slightly swollen, but only slightly. The saliva in my mouth and on top of my tongue is very thick and usually green.

other possibilty is some allergic reaction

allergic reactions o0ften cause swollen tongue and thick saliva.

Other rare possibility is Sjogren syndrome, where there is an autoimmune reaction to salivary glands.

I hope you are maintaining good mouth hygiene. Antiseptic mouth rinses can also help.
