What Causes Terrible Headaches With Normal CT Scan?
Question: My question to DR XXXXXXX HEIJEBU.
Good Morning Dr XXXXXXX heijebu,A happy new year to you and your family.I am XXXXXXX here,i had several consultations with you in the past.My question is I have terrible headaches over the last 2 weeks or so,i had been hit by a ball while playing soccer had CT scan ,it came out normal,should I be concerned,Please help me to get rid of this bad headachethanks for your advise,

A normal CT scan literally rules out internal brain injury with high degree of accuracy
after injury to head with a ball.So you need not worry much.
The probable cause of persistent headache in your case might be impact post trauma causing mild soft tissue blunt trauma.
This headache will resolve in few days time spontaneously.
I recommend analgesics like Ibuprofen 600 mg twice a day for 3 days for effective pain control.This is all sufficient.
Please note this medication has to be taken only in presence of strict medical prescription of your local available doctor.
