Question: Dear doctor.

Hope you are well.

I am just reporting back.

I have a tender/painful swelling/lump on my inner thigh.

My doctor gave me flucloxacllin 500mg.

I have taken this for 2 days (4 per day).

The lump has gone smallee but still seems pretty hard.

Is the normal procedure of healing? Current picture is attached.

Brief Answer:
Cancer is a rare possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

Since the lump responded to antibiotic therapy, its less likely to be cancer.

As far as hardness is concerned, this could be a part of accumulation of collagen during healing that can impart hard feel.

In case if the lump has not completely vanished in week days, you can go for needle examination ike FNAC after consulting your doctor.

Thank you.
