What Causes Swollen, Painful Lymph Nodes On Throat And Small Bump Under Nipple?

Question: Hi, I have my lymph nodes swelled on the sides and the middle top part of my throat they have become more painful as time goes by and also have a small bump under my nipple that stings and when I squeeze it pus comes out from the nipple. My doctor prescribed amoxicillin and after 2 weeks of treatment it hasn't gotten any better. I've asked him to conduct blood tests or
something to see if I might have cancer but he refuses to do so because my insurance wont cover it. Is there anything I could do about it? Or any medication to treat it?

Brief Answer:
FNAC of Neck glands and Ultrasound of Breast for correct diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history and concerned.
It is rare to have cancer at the age of 28 hence that should be the last thing on the mind.
The minimum you can do are as follows, please see for the costs as the Insurance is allowing. And certainly should go for these if afforded to get to know the exact diagnosis.
- FNAC of the neck glands. This will give the exact diagnosis as to the reason for enlargement.
- Ultrasonography of the breast and FNAC if any suspicion by the radiologist. This will help to see whether this is a localized abscess or an infected cyst or a mass suspicious of cancer.

These reports will suggest the further course of actions.
Proper diagnosis also helps for reduced cost of medication and other less important tests. And gives the correct pointed course of actions.
I hope this answer helps you.
