Brief Answer:
need antiallergic medications

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome toHCM forum.

Swelling associated with itching usually indicates an allergic type of inflammation. The cause can be an insect bite as you told.
This can be treated with antiallergic medications like pheniramine 25mg at night along with antiinflammatory drugs like ibuprofen 400mg thrice daily for 3 to 5 days. You can continue ice pack application.
Note that pheniramine can cause significant sedation.
Also,if it is caused by insect bites, we should go for a tetanus shot if you had not one recently.

If this doesn't help in 2 days or if the swelling become hot/red or you feel fever, kindly see your doctor as this will need further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you a faster cure.
Thank you
