Question: Hello, I have been taking Duricef for 6 days, and have had swollen glands and shortness of breath. I just learned this is an allergic reaction. The last time I took it was at 8pm last evening (so aprox 8 hours ago)..

What do you recommend?

Duricef is having cefadroxil. It is cephalosporin group of antibiotic. It can cause allergic reaction.
Since you are facing an allergic reaction, you should stop taking it further.
At present, you should take tablet Avil (antihistamine).
Usually single dose is sufficient to subside mild allergies.
If you are still having symptoms even after taking Avil tablet, better to consult emergency room.
