What Causes Swelling Under Lower Eyelid?
Question: My right eye has swelling under the down eyelid. It is there since 4 days now. Actually it started on Thursday and Saturday and Sunday the swelling was reduced automatically to 30 to 40% but today again since morning I see the swelling and it pains when I touch it. There is also a redness in the eye. I am not taking any medicines for this or for anything else. Can you help me with this please?

Thanks for sending your query to us.
You seem to have a infection of glands of lid margin .This needs hot compresses,oral antibiotics in the form of doxycycline 100 mg twice a day or ciprofloxcin 500 mg twice a day depending upon availability.Along with you may have paracetamol 500 mg.twice a day..Take them for about 3-4 days and do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
