Brief Answer:
needs investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through the query and understood your concern.

The occasional swelling in throat which will give symptoms like choking may be due to aneurysm. This is one probable cause that can come on and off and can compress the surrounding tissue to cause problem. For diagnosis get done doppler scanning of the carotid arteries. The size may vary wrt blood pressure.

Mean time check for your blood pressure, lipid profile and also sugar levels. These can contribute for the symptoms.

I hope this information helps you. I will be waiting for the reports. Feel free to ask if you have any further queries and I will be glad to answer them.

Wish you good health.

What can be done to eliminate this and is it dangerous. I sometimes have this while driving. Is there a procedure to take the aneurysm out?

Brief Answer:
scanning required for diagnosis. can be treated

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear,

First we need to diagnose the cause. It may or may not be aneurysm..Based on your explanation the cause may be aneurysm since solid tumors stay there without disappearing.

If aneurysm then you should control your BP and lipid profile and based on the grade we can treat them. No need to worry till investigation. There is treatment for it.

I hope this information answered your query. Get done doppler with neck scanning for the diagnosis. Feel free to ask if any further information.

Wish you good health.
