What Causes Swelling In The Pelvic Region?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 May 2017
Question: The right side of my pelvis has been swollen for about two weeks. Sometimes it is barely enlarged while at other times it is very noticeable. It has caused me discomfort intermittently, and on a few occasions it has caused me severe pain anywhere from about two to five minutes in the region above my penis, but also in my right testicle. It does not cause me discomfort at any specific time, like when I urinate. It could be a number of things, but my main concern is that is a cancer. As of now I have no health insurance. I can get health insurance this week that would begin in May and schedule an appointment with a urologist, or I may qualify for company paid health insurance by taking a new position, and schedule an appointment for XXXXXXX 1st. I am 52 years old, and understand the chances of it being a form of bladder cancer are not as great as it being a UTI or something less severe. I do understand that I don't want to delay seeing a specialist, but I can live with the mild discomfort for another 36 days. I am just concerned that there have been a couple of instances where the pain is very sharp and has traveled in to my right testicle. One woke me up in the middle of the night and i could not get back to bed for several minutes. Throughout the day, it really does not affect me, but there is the occasional discomfort, and sometimes that discomfort borders on pain, and maybe three times in the last two weeks or so there has been the sharp pain that I described earlier. What do you think this is, and more importantly, can I wait until XXXXXXX 1st to see a urologist, or should I see one as soon as possible in May? Thank you for your assistance. ( I do not have alot of money and this is the reason I dont have health insurance. I really dont want to pay for some if i can hold out for 36 more days, but also realize that if it is a form of cancer that waiting would be very stupid.

Also, I occasionally hear sounds from this part of my body that are similar to a stomach growling. It is like water traveling down a drain and sounds like the gurgle of bubbles ( if that makes sense)

Brief Answer:
Respected XXXX, hi relax it`s hernia not cancer dear.

Detailed Answer:
Respected XXXX, hi I evaluated your query very thoroughly by all narrations.
*You are having Hernia most probably in my judgement.
*Hernia is downward shifting of abdominal contents through weakness involving
Inguinal canal muscles giving rise to bulge in that area , on & off stretching
sensations, testicular discomfort .
*For final comments I would like your photograph of that area in standing position preferably taken after coughing a bit to make the swelling perfectly visible. There is an option to upload pictures on this page.
*Be sure & relax , it is not cancer at all.
Hope this clears your doubt.
