What Causes Swelling In Lower Abdomen?

Question: My wife has been bothered with this problem for a long time. She has bulging around the sternum area and down lower toward the stomach. I think it may be a hiatal hernia. do you have any thoughts.

There are multiple possibilitiesof the swelling.
But I don't think it is hiatus hernia. it's usually not visualizer outside.
I think it may be a hernia.
A possibilityof lipoma should be considered.
I would suggest that you test with a ultrasound of the abdomen.
