What Causes Superficial Veins On Chest Going Across Towards The Arm Pit?
Question: Superficial veins on chest going across towards the arm pit visible in light. Got checked my doctor who checked me and liver said no problem what are your thoughts

Superficial veins usually can be seen if you are very fair or workout regularly so as to cause decreased fat and prominence of muscles indirectly causing veins prominence.
Other reason is some kind of liver problem where estrogen is produced more in body and thus causes vein prominences.
As you have already told that your liver has been checked and told it is normal i do not see any reason to be worried about it.
So i do agree with your doctor that it is normal and nothing to be worried of.

Please remember I am 25 years old and liver examination was done manually.
I did have a blood test last year 2014 July and all report was fine for the liver.
I have put on weight however you are talking four stone over weight. Is there anything a male can do to reduce oestrogen levels? Such as exercise. my doctor has Said everything looks.fine and wanted a second opinion..
Can weight gain be linked to such lines
Also I had ciprofloxacin treatment for a UTI could antibiotics make veins prominent

First of all let me tell you having prominent veins on body is nothing tovein worried about atleast on torso.
Estrogen levels in males go up when there is liver trouble on going which causes testosterone to convert in estrogen.
Yes doing exercise and loosing out weight will help to increase testosterone levels.
But i really feel in age of 25 there is no reason that your estrogen levels can go high.
Ciprofloxacin is unlikely to cause such kind of side effects.
All I can tell you XXXXXXX is that this problem is not to be worried of, 1 single vein which is visible is not much of concern as it will not cause any harm to your health.
If there are multiple veins seen elsewhere on body and if it is increasing then consult your doctor to rule out superior vein obstruction. But i feel that 99.99% it wont be possible.
What you have is just anatomical changes going on which has no significance and nothing to be worried of.

There are no more than 3 superficial veins on side, and maybe two on the other.
There are no other in the body so I can happily ignore and take doctors advice? And take it that lighter skin I can see these because of that.
